Cascade was founded in Orange County, CA by Lara Koubati and Frieda Seifpour. As BCBAs, both Frieda and Lara were inspired to start their own company, providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. Coming from diverse backgrounds, Lara and Frieda, shared the same passion and motivation to help people with autism spectrum disorder succeed. Frieda was introduced to ABA, fulfilling the hours of volunteer experience while studying to become an occupational therapist. After observing ABA/OT cotreat sessions, and early intervention multidisciplinary program at a preschool, as well as having her own personal experience with the progress made with ABA, she decided to change her path to become a board-certified behavior analyst. Frieda has worked in the field of ABA in different settings such as school, in home, and in clinics for years and has celebrated many success moments with her learners, and their families. Lara learned about autism during her university years while studying to become a teacher. During her first professional experience as a project coordinator for special needs, Lara met a lady who works in the field of ABA and was fascinated with her description of the methods used to help people with autism spectrum disorder learning the skills they lack to become more independent. Lara then decided to pursue her career in the field of ABA. Lara had long years of experience in the field within the country and abroad, working with non-governmental organizations, schools and in home and in clinic-based therapy. Their combined experiences helped shaping Cascade, where they achieve their dream together.
